Care Guide
Keep the print looking new
Your sweatshirt is printed with water based ink that sits in the fabric rather than on top of it. Treated kindly it will outlast the trend that inspired it.
Washing
- Turn the sweatshirt inside out before it goes in the machine
- Wash cold, on a gentle cycle, with similar colors
- Use a mild detergent, and skip bleach and fabric softener
- Wash it on its own for the first wash, so nothing else picks up loose dye
Drying
- Hang dry in the shade whenever you can. It keeps the fit and the color
- If you must tumble dry, use low heat and take it out slightly damp
- Never dry clean
Ironing
Iron inside out on low heat, and never directly on the print. If you need to press the front, put a cloth between the iron and the design.
Everyday care
- Wash less often than you think. Airing a sweatshirt overnight is usually enough
- Store folded rather than on a hanger, so the shoulders keep their shape
- Lint roll for cat hair before you photograph it. We accept that the hair will win in the end
What to expect over time
Cotton fleece softens and may shrink slightly in the first wash, which is normal. If your print cracks or peels within 30 days of normal washing, that is a fault. Send us a photo and we will replace it.
